Wardrobe Technician – Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

REPORTS TO: COSTUME DIRECTOR
The Wardrobe Technician is a full-time seasonal position reporting to the Costume Director. This position works closely with company dancers and costume shop employees to facilitate the use of costumes in rehearsals and performances. In daily operations, the Wardrobe Technician primarily assists the costume department with building, altering, embellishing, and repairing costumes for Ballet productions and will be a part of the wardrobe team that facilitates the runs of all performances at the theater. This position is expected to work nights and weekends as determined by the production calendar and performance schedule. During performance weeks at the theater, the Wardrobe crew will run all Ballet productions, including assisting dancers, overseeing hired dressers, performing quick changes, and repairing costumes as needed.

Assistant Costume Shop Manager – Waco, Texas, USA

This University is seeking an Assistant Costume Shop Manager to support the mission and vision of the Department of Theatre Arts.

This position:

  • Serves as part of the costume construction team (first hand) for a 6-show season.
  • Assists the Shop Manager in costume rentals and maintenance of costume stock spaces.
  • Supervises student stitchers and supports wardrobe crews through tech and performances.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience running wardrobe; hair and makeup experience is a plus.
  • We value self-motivation, a positive attitude, good humor, and courtesy in our close-knit community.

Wardrobe Assistant – East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA

Nickelodeon Universe, Sesame Street Learn & Play, and DreamWorks Water Park (all located at American Dream in East Rutherford, NJ) are looking for a Wardrobe Assistant to oversee all wardrobe and costume character needs.

Desired qualifications:

  • Theme park/theatrcial/cruise wardrobe experience
  • Full-body costume character wardrobe experience
  • Puppet/mascot construction experience
  • Ability to machine and hand sew

This position is part-time and open-ended. Saturdays and Sundays required.

Costume Supervisor – Costa Mesa, California, USA

The Costume Supervisor oversees operations of the Costume Shop and Wardrobe departments and project manages the relevant needs for our 8-show season, conservatory productions, and special events. This role leads and motivates a team of full-time and overhire stitchers, cutters/drapers, first hands, design assistants, the wardrobe supervisor, and dressers. A great fit for this role means you enjoy collaborating with a diverse team of designers and creative problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Wardrobe Crew, Peoria, Arizona, USA

Preset or Coordinate presets of costumes and accessories based on the daily needs

  • Assist actors during the run of the show in dressing, hair/wigs, and quick changes
  • Prep and sort laundry
  • Repairs and launders clothing for the show
  • Clean and Organize dressing rooms and all wardrobe storage spaces
  • Help maintain a calm backstage and a smooth-running show.
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the costume design throughout the performance run of each production.
  • Provide costume shop technical support: stitching, crafts, quick rigging, and other duties as assigned
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Costume Director or Wardrobe Supervisor
