Young Families in Circus: A Documentary

This documentary was shot during the Sin Red cycle of 2021, organized by the Department of Culture in collaboration with the Maintomano company, the Bergidum Theater and Performing Arts Center, and the Las Humeiras de Carracedo de Compludo association. The families portrayed in the film are part of the companies Maintomano, Kavauri Project, Eia, Cirk About it, and Zirko Txosko.  In the film, participants gather to exchange experiences of motherhood and childcare in the circus field. The film reflects on the repercussions and impacts of a new arrival in the family on a small company. During its 43-minute runtime, topics such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, the distribution of tasks, schools, the integration of children in the circus, the support of grandparents, and displacement are all taken under the magnifying glass.  This film depicts the interaction and exchange of ideas about the contemporary circus that took place between the five companies over five days of coexistence in Ponferrada and in the town of Carracedo de Compludo.
