Head of Props – Chemianus, British Columbia, Canada

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Head of Props is responsible for the coordination and operations of the properties department. Duties of the Head of Props shall include, but not be limited to, the costing and planning for the department and the procurement and/or creation of all properties, furniture and set decorations. They work collaboratively with the Technical Director, Head Carpenter, guest artists and other production departments to ensure the artistic vision of the director and design team is realized on stage while maintaining safe work practices for all production staff and guest artists, in accordance with company policy, Worksafe BC, CAEA, Actsafe, IATSE 168 and industry best standards.

Scenic Charge – Aurburn, New York, USA

Those encouraged to apply: Self-motivated individuals with strong scenic painting abilities and prior experience leading a paint staff. Preferred candidates will have prior scenic painting and/or Scenic Charge experience working at a professional theatre. Ideal candidates will be proactive communicators, with excellent organizational, collaborative, and intrapersonal skills..

Touring Theatre Technicians – New York, New York, USA

Application Deadline: Mar 31, 2025

A general call for theatre technicians on behalf of several upcoming US National Tours. Candidates should have experience in technical theatre and preferably with touring productions, although not mandatory. Technicians will lead and/or assist in various parts of the load in and load out processes while interfacing with local house teams in various venues. Technicians will also be responsible for the operation and movement of the production from city to city along a specified tour route. These positions will be offered under an IATSE Pink contract, and entrance into the union will be considered for crew members with the requisite experience.

Theatrical Head Carpenter/Rigger and Scene Shop Manager –  Buffalo, New York, USA

In this role, you’ll oversee the technical and safety aspects of performances and events with the Center for the Arts and Department of Theatre and Dance. Key responsibilities include rigging, fly operation, and leading crews, including touring production personnel, to ensure all work is performed safely and meets industry standards. Ensure the safety and readiness of theaters, stage equipment, and venues by following proper rigging and staging practices. This position also involves mentoring students, and supporting academic productions, offering a opportunity to work hands-on in a collaborative environment.

Stage Carpenter – Abingdon, Virginia, USA

Application Deadline: Mar 31, 2025

The Stage Carpenter’s primary responsibilities are maintaining the integrity of the scenery once in performances and changing
over the scenery (“repping”) between shows. This employee is responsible for leading this process in an efficient and safe manner. If needed, this employee works in conjunction with stage management to help run the show. When no shows are in performance and/or the above responsibilities are not required of the Stage Carpenter, the employee will work in the scene shop.
