The role is responsible for ensuring the success of show and event productions by executing all technical aspects related to lighting and stage operations. This includes assisting with load-ins, stage setups, and lighting installations; operating and programming lighting control boards and spotlights; and focusing and adjusting lighting to meet artist or event specifications. The position involves setting up and breaking down band and event equipment, maintaining and repairing lighting gear, and ensuring the safe, consistent operation of all lighting systems. Additional responsibilities include accommodating A/V requirements, supporting production needs throughout the venue, distributing or creating lighting plot plans, and coordinating with visiting production crews to ensure smooth execution. The role also requires technical advancing with artist representatives, overseeing lighting systems during events, ensuring special event lighting needs are scheduled and met, assisting the audio crew with equipment, and supporting any other special event operations as needed.
Assistant Lighting Director – Urbana, Illinois, USA
