Innovator of “Chocolate Chalk“, Dr. Trina Wiggins – Circuspreneur Podcast Ep.85

On this episode of the Circuspreneur podcast, host ​⁠Shenea Stiletto interviews Dr.Trina Wiggins. As a trailblazer, Dr.Trina Wiggins was the first African American on the Stanford University Women’s Gymnastics Team. She is also the first patent holder for skin tone matching (gymnastics) chalk known as Chocolate Chalk, that can be used for physical competitiveness and in the performing arts.
She has competed in over 60 fitness and dance competitions, over the past 20 years, with many top-place finishes. In September 2022, she won gold at the Nevada State Senior Olympics, and in June 2024, she competed in the World Fitness Forum and received first place.
Dr.Trina is the also the author of two books, KISS: Keep It Short And Simple For A Healthy, Sustainable Lifestyle, and the Sugar Seduction was published in April of 2022. More recently, she released the first book of a comic book series for children, titled, The Sugar Attack. This series will educate our youth about health, nutrition, and wellness with the goal of mitigating some of the chronic diseases we see in adults.

Her career includes a decade of collaborations with Cirque Du Soleil including the coveted hand balancing role as "The Promise" in Varekai, becoming the first-ever African American female soloist to play a lead character in a Cirque Du Soleil production.
Shenea was also a finalist on America’s Got Talent and has continued to be a featured artist with prominent circus entertainment companies worldwide.
