Do The Sofa Dance with Mimbre
The contemporary circus company Mimbre took their work to the couch with this fascinating collage piece titled The Sofa Dance.Mimbre’s artistic director Lina Johansson explains that the piece was commissioned by BBC, “30 acrobats physicalise the shared exhaustion, frustration and complications of living within drastically limited space, creating absurdity and beauty while stuck on their sofas.” Johansson also encourages artists to create their own sofa dance and share it with Mimbre via their blogpost.
