On this episode of the Circuspreneur Podcast, host Shenea Stiletto interviews Ekaterina Pirogovskaya who is originally from Mariupol, Ukraine, and moved to St.Petersburgh, Russia to study at the Theatre Institut, where she received her four year degree as an “ Actress of dramatic theatre, movie and variety shows.”
She went on to work with the famed leniage of Natasha Pivovarova, which led her to audition for Cirque Du Soleil in the mimes, clowns, and nonverbal actors category in Russia. This led to her casting in Cirque Du Soleil’s production of Iris as the original character Violet, followed by Kurios where she portrayed the original Klara character for Cirque Du Soleil, and then now her present day roles as original characters Apricot Gouache and Mary Blair in drawn to life by Cirque Du Soleil in Orlando, Florida. Ekaterina is also a director and workshop teacher, crafting shows such as The Squeaky Floor, and a Taste of Silence.
