Technician – South East, UK

We are seeking experienced Technician (LX and Sound) to deliver shows at a vibrant multi-arts venue with a busy programme of gigs, film, comedy and drama. This role encompasses all technical aspects involved in delivering a high-quality programme of live events, exhibitions and installations. This includes:
Rigging and designing lighting rigs for a range of performances
Rigging and operating sound equipment for live and recorded events
Supporting both professional, amateur performers
Programming and operating Digital Cinema and a range of AV equipment
Working with Artists to build installations in the Gallery and other areas of the building
Supporting corporate hirers, from small meetings to large events in the theatre and throughout the building
The Technician will be expected to have a range of skills and interests covering Lighting, Live Sound and Stagecraft. Whatever your current skillset, there is significant opportunity to develop those skills and, for the right candidate, you will be encouraged and supported to broaden your knowledge and experience as a technician.
The Technician will be expected to work alone and deputise for the Technical Manager in his absence and take specific responsibilities for the maintenance and development in some areas of technical equipment.
Technical Coordinator – Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA

This University is accepting applications for a Technical Coordinator. This position reports to the Asst. Director of Production and Facilities within the Office of Visual and Performing Arts (OVPA) and provides comprehensive technical, production, and live event support for a full schedule of internal and external events at the Ware Center in downtown Lancaster, PA as assigned by, and in coordination with the Asst. Director.
Special Effects Technician – Toronto, Ontario, Canada

As a Special Effects Technician, you will first learn about our equipment, effects, and safe working procedures. You will begin in the warehouse handling day-to-day operations of rentals and inventory, where you will gain exposure and knowledge of our extensive gear catalogue. You will assist with load-ins, setup and strikes with our production team. With time and training, you will work towards executing events independently.
Playhouse Technician – Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Application Deadline: July 25, 2025
Reporting to the Technical Director and the Production & Facility Manager, the individual in this position is a member of the Production Department and works closely with a variety of Theatre Staff at different points in a given production period.
This is a seasonal contract position as defined within the Society’s Personnel Policy and is scheduled according to a production schedule, administered by the Production & Facility Manager.
The Playhouse Technician will work with the production department, as the primary onsite technical contact for the season’s five mainstage productions, liaising with incoming artistic and creative teams, running lights and sound mainstage productions, preparing secondary staff to run Playhouse shows, maintaining the Playhouse Theatre and its equipment, and assisting in developing and upholding safety protocols.
The Technician will be well versed in theatrical lighting, sound, and projection, and will have exceptional personnel and communication skills.
