Technical Director and Production Manager for Multi-Venue Arts Complex – Greenville, South Carolina, USA

The Technical Director manages the daily technical operation of all venues: the 2,115-seat Peace Concert Hall, the 400-seat Gunter Theatre, and the 1,350-capacity outdoor Peace Pavilion, Coach Music Factory, a 1,300-capacity, three-tiered, flat floor music club which will feature a range of genres; The Mockingbird, a 250-capacity listening room with a casual, intimate lounge featuring up-and-coming and established musicians; and The Studio, a professional podcast and recording studio. This role will report to the Director of Production and execute the production of events on the Peace Center campus. Annually the Peace Center presents a variety of performances including 10 to 12 weeks of touring Broadway and 60 to 70 single night performances. The Technical Director will also collaborate with our resident performing arts companies who call the Peace Center home for 50 to 60 performances.

Technical Director and Head Carpenter for 2026 Opera Season – Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Charlottesville Opera is seeking a skilled and hands-on Technical Director / Head Carpenter for our 2026 summer season. This role will serve as the primary scenic builder for our mainstage productions, while also overseeing the execution and installation of all scenic elements.

The Technical Director / Head Carpenter will work closely with the Director of Production, designers, and production staff to translate scenic designs into buildable, efficient, and safe solutions, and will take a lead role in physically constructing the scenery.

Assistant Technical Director for Performing Arts Season in Banff – Alberta, Canada

The Assistant Technical Director is responsible for assisting in the planning, management and supervision of all technical and production elements of Banff Centre productions, programs and presentations. We are looking for someone who is passionate and experienced in stage carpentry, rigging, drafting and working collaboratively with builder shops, to support this year’s performing arts events!

Technical Director for Professional Dinner Theatre – Clarksville, Indiana, USA

Derby Dinner Playhouse, a preeminent professional dinner theatre in southern Indiana (Louisville, KY area), seeks a full-time Technical Director. The Technical Director would build 12 plays and musicals every year in an on-site production shop. This is a full time salaried position with benefits, and the TD is a part of a small staff of artists, producers, and craftspeople who work to uphold the excellent 51-year reputation of the company.

Strong applicants will have a demonstrated background in theatrical construction, a proficiency in CAD drafting and the ability to communicate effectively with production staff and part-time changeover crew. The TD is expected to take a leadership role in the installation of scenery in the theatrical space. The Technical Director is responsible for the preparation and organization of technical information pertaining to the scenery of any given production, through collaboration with the design team and the other production departments, working from knowledge of standard theatrical technical design.
