Audio Engineer – Boston, Massachusetts, USA

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Performs the Load-in & Out of band equipment and rental equipment
- Set Up and Break down of Band and Event Equipment
- Cabling and patching / working together with the entire crew as a team
- Audio adjustments, maintaining safe audio levels. While providing a professional mix
- Audio Control Boards operation
- Oversee visiting audio techs, especially during shows
- Responsible for Protecting /Maintenance and repair of Audio equipment
- Assist with Production throughout the House as needed
- Assist the Production Manager with the technical advance with Artists representatives
- Ensure proper care and handling of all Paradise Rock Club and rental audio equipment
- Interact with visiting production crews to ensure a successful show
- Distribute or create audio plans
- Oversee and operate systems pertaining to audio throughout the entire venue
- Ensure Special Events audio needs are scheduled and met and executed with the utmost professional attitude
- Maintain a relationship with local & National Audio Vendors Maintenance and repair of sound, light and stage equipment
- May assist the Stage Manager with show passes
- Assist lighting crew with stands, microphones, cables, etc.
- Assist with any Special Events operations

Skills and Experiences:
- Experience mixing live mics and bands for theatre productions.
- Experience of working in a similar role on a small – medium-scale touring production or equivalent.
- Good listener and great communicator, working well as part of a team.Ability to maintain and repair sound equipment
Key Responsibilities:
- To attend meetings and rehearsals for the Production as mutually agreed and to consult with the Sound Designer, Production Manager, Director and Producer as well as Rifco’s General Manager.
- To operate the sound desk during the Production and realise the sound design as guided by the Sound Designer, Musical Director and Director and ensure the consistent delivery of the Sound Design on tour.
- To get in and get out of the touring sound equipment at each venue on tour and venue crew ensuring the safe and timely installation of the set and equipment.
- To liaise with the Musical Director and ensure the requirements for band monitoring are met in each venue on tour.
- Any other duties that may be reasonably required of a Touring Sound 1.

Under the supervision of your Head of Department, maintaining the Production as instructed and dictated by the creative team in line with the artistic requirements and direction of the Production;
- Working alongside your team, other technical departments, stage management, the acting company and resident creative team members to ensure the efficient flow of information as necessary for the smooth running of the show;
- Attending all rehearsals, show calls, maintenance calls, get-ins, fit-ups and get-outs as required by your Head of Department or the Company Manager, including emergency calls in the event of equipment failure or other incident, particularly if there is a risk of the cancellation of a performance;
- Assisting with the operation and maintenance of all equipment used by your department, including equipment checks prior to each performance, as requested by your Head of Department;
House Technician, Sound – Arlington Heights, Illinois, USA

The Sound House Technician is responsible for supporting the technical execution of all productions. This position works as part of the production team to ensure safe, professional, and efficient operations. Primary responsibility will be supporting the Sound Department. Secondary responsibilities include supporting the Scenic and Electrics Departments as needed. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with a broad understanding of theatrical operations, with proficiency in sound and carpentry skills, as well as a flexible, team-oriented approach.
A2 Sound Technician – Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA

Role Responsibilities:
- Provide audio support for all BSC productions and events throughout the 2025 season
- Provide audio support for additional BSC events such as concerts and cabarets when required
- Assist with the installation of seasonal sound systems in the theatres as well as hanging the individual show sound plots including but not limited to speaker placement, mic setups, and cable runs.
- Assist with setting up rehearsal studio sound systems as needed
- Assist with pre-show checks and post-show procedures for all audio equipment, including assisted listening systems, backstage monitors, house and backstage paging systems, cue lights, headsets, video cameras, and monitors
- Assist actors with getting into and out of wireless mics as necessary
- Build and maintain wireless mic rigs for the actors as needed
- Keep the sound storage areas clean and organized
- Assist in maintaining and updating audio inventories
