Sound Designer – East Rockaway, New York, USA

Responsibilities:
· Create and implement sound designs for eight 10-minute short plays
· Collaborate with four directors and additional production staff to support each production’s artistic vision
· Attend production meetings, technical rehearsals, and performances as required

A1 Audio Engineer – Morristown, New Jersey, USA

The A-1 Audio Engineer works closely with the Production staff and crew to deliver high-quality audio support for live events. This role requires strong technical expertise, efficient execution, attention to detail, and experience mixing live entertainment on digital consoles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful implementation of all audio-related elements for live events.
  • Mix live sound for performances that do not travel with a sound engineer and provide support for visiting engineers when needed.
  • Maintain audio inventory, including routine upkeep, cleaning, safe handling, and minor repairs.
  • Work closely with the A-2 and other Production Team members to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Collaborate across departments as needed to support the overall quality of each production.

Sound Designer and Operator – South West, UK

This theatre is seeking a local / Bristol based Sound Designer and Operator for our upcoming production.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the sound design and operation of the production, ensuring a high-quality audio experience for both performers and audiences. Duties will include programming and operating the sound desk, managing radio microphones and playback systems, conducting system checks, troubleshooting technical issues, and working closely with the wider production team throughout final rehearsals and performances. There is no live band as this will be backing track and a young company of 30 (20 will be wearing mics).

Production Sound Engineer – USA and UK Wide

Working closely with the Sound Designer, Sound No 1 and the wider production team, you will be responsible for the technical realisation of the sound design, managing the touring sound system, fit ups on tours and some get outs and maintaining audio quality to the highest standard across all venues.

Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Production Sound Engineer or equivalent on professional touring theatre productions
  • In-depth knowledge of large format digital audio consoles (e.g. DiGiCo, Yamaha, Avid)
  • Proficiency with QLab playback software
  • Strong knowledge of RF systems and radio microphone management in live performance environments
  • Experience of PA system design, deployment and system tuning
  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, independently and under pressure

Sound Deputy – London, UK

This role will work with creative teams to present the Lyric’s work to the highest possible standard across all of our stages in a friendly and efficient manner.
