The Moving Identities residency programme offers a unique opportunity for performing artists from Denmark, Norway, Germany, Belgium, Spain, and Latvia to develop their artistic practices while fostering international collaboration. With support from Creative Europe, this year-long residency aims to inspire the movement of people, ideas, and perceptions while exploring themes of diversity, inclusion, and belonging within contemporary European society.
The programme includes three 10-day residencies: one in the artist’s home country and two hosted by international partner venues across Europe. These residencies are designed to provide artists with a platform for artistic development, mentorship, networking, and creative exchanges with local artists and organizations. Participants will also have opportunities to increase their visibility through work-sharing events and receive professional promotional materials.
Artists and performing arts groups with a strong vision and practice related to contemporary European identities, inclusion, and diversity are encouraged to apply. The programme is ideal for research-based projects as some venues may not be equipped for full productions. The programme welcomes a variety of artistic approaches and prioritizes underrepresented artists and those with accessibility needs.
Each artist will receive a €4000 fee, as well as per diems for international residencies. The residency promotes cross-border collaboration, sustainable travel practices, and fosters a deeper understanding of European identities.
