StageLync Podcast Ep. 78: Luke Chadwick-Jones on Longevity & Creative Growth

Luke Chadwick-Jones has never really done “just one thing.” A former zonal, regional, and national champion gymnast and trampolinist from the Midlands, he went on to earn a 1st Class Honours Degree in physical theatre at East 15 Acting School and has spent the last 15–20 years touring the world in stunt, circus, parkour, acrobatics, and theatre shows. His credits span Circus 1903 with Cirque du Soleil/The Works Entertainment, Netflix and Secret Cinema’s Stranger Things experience, Barely Methodical Troupe, Justice in Motion’s On Edge tour, and most recently, leading The House of Dancing Water in Macau.

In this episode of the StageLync Podcast, Luke and I talk about how gymnastics became his “moving meditation,” how Lecoq-based physical theatre transformed his approach to storytelling, and what it really takes to hold an audience in the palm of your hand in a mega-show. We also touch on his work as a filmmaker and advocate through his first feature, Pilgrimage to Enlightenment – A Journey to Becoming an Advocate, and how following your curiosities can lead to a sustainable, joy-filled life in the arts.
