In Episode 4, actor, director, and Midnight Circus founder Julie Jenkins describes how becoming a mother formed her desire to produce circus for social good – and how, along her journey, she’s managed to retain her identity as an artist.

- When Julie says she “…performed in the air, over granite,” she’s referring to a silks act she performed in the long-running Chicagoween show Midnight Circus put on at Daley Plaza in downtown Chicago.
- Max Jenkins, Julie’s son, currently stars in the Netflix original Lost In Space.
- Circus in the Parks is the flagship program of Midnight Circus. The show tours Chicago’s parks for seven to nine weeks in the fall, raising money for the parks they play along the way.
