Katharine Kavanagh transitioned gradually into the world of circus from her background as a theatre-maker following two seasons touring as a volunteer with NoFit State Circus. In 2013 she launched TheCircusDiaries.com, which is currently the only English language publication dedicated to circus critique, and contributes freelance to other publications when a circus topic is called for. Katharine is always keen for more circus voices to join the mix and increase the field of conversation around the art form, and runs critical workshops and residencies for venues and festivals.
