ULTRA Europe Festival

For the 10th annual ULTRA Europe Festival StageLync was able to be on the grounds of the gorgeous Dalmatian Coast in Croatia. ULTRA Festival has many locations, but the European destination has become widely popular as one of the largest electronic music festivals. The festival has a minimum age requirement of 18 and while this festival isn’t for campers (hotels booked separately) anyone who chases summer festivals should absolutely add this one to their line up.
The ULTRA Europe music festival had a fantastic first night with their opening show beginning at 23:00. This festival is certainly not for those who expect the night to end at midnight, the party is just beginning! Alison Wonderland (an Australian EDM producer) engaged the audience with her powerful personality the moment she stepped on stage. Some of the later performers including KSHMR and Hardwell had sets that lasted over an hour and fans went wild every minute. With no explanation as to why, Sebastian Ingrosso was removed from the weekend’s lineup entirely.
Fans were a bit shocked to see very few water stations (the only being at the entrance to the festival). Festival goers were also disappointed to have items taken upon their entrance to the festival including fans, lighters, vapes, and other small items that weren’t listed as banned on the festival’s website only for those items to be found for purchase inside the festival.
The second night of the weekend was similar with times and crowds. With another 23:00 start, fans were disappointed to see some large names like Martin Garrix with shorter set lengths (some for as little as 30 minutes). Even with this limited time, Garrix still gave the audience a fantastic performance and even debuted unreleased music. Other performers like Axwell excited the audience with theatrics of pyrotechnics and visual effects. Having made it through the first day, audience members knew what to expect with other people in the crowd.
However, there was a massive surprise at the festival’s Resistance stage as some kind of gas was thrown during Vintage Culture’s set. Eye witnesses report the audience members began frantically running with some throwing up and reports of difficulty breathing even into the next day.
“During the evening, to the detriment of visitors, we recorded the theft of chains in such a way that the perpetrators sprayed a spray with an irritating substance. With a quick reaction, three persons, foreign Italian citizens, were identified as possible perpetrators.
They were arrested and brought to official premises. A piece of stolen jewellery was also found with the person. After finding and arresting these persons, we no longer recorded reports of activation of the spray with an irritating substance, as well as reports of theft. By 6:00 a.m., 13 property crimes were reported to us, of which 12 were thefts/breaking of chains.” – A report from Croatia Media.
At this time, ULTRA and ULTRA Europe have not released an official statement.
ULTRA’s Hong Kong Festival will debut this September in case fans missed this year’s European edition. ULTRA Europe Festival will be from 11 July to 13 July next year. Keep these dates in the calendar for any fans who want a beautiful destination. Other destinations of ULTRA include: Australia, Korea, Taiwan, Miami, and Japan.
