Stars Announced for The Mad Ones After-Party Performances

Electric Press Productions has announced a star-studded lineup for The Mad Ones: There Was An After Party, a special series of exclusive encore performances. Inspired by one of the show’s most beloved songs, these one-night-only events on 13th, 20th and 27th May will follow the main performance, offering audiences a unique, intimate celebration of the songs and storytelling at the heart of this new musical.
The first performer announced is West End star Lauren Jones (Scissorhandz, Southwark Playhouse Elephant; Bonnie & Clyde, UK & Ireland Tour; Rebecca, Charing Cross Theatre) who will play Wednesday in the upcoming UK Tour of the Addams Family. Jones will deliver a one night-one only performance of a song from the show on 13th May. The following week will see dynamic pairing Lois Mia Chapman (Roles We’ll Never Play, The Union Theatre; The Hunchback Of Notre Dame, The Manchester Cathedral) and Jordan Donnelly (Magical Merlin the Musical, Fortune Theatre, West End; Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, UK Tour, Choir of Man, Arts centre, Melbourne/NCLand) perform together. For the final afterparty show on 27th May, champion of the hit ITV series Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream, Stevie Doc (Mamma Mia, Novello Theatre), will take to the stage. For her role in the smash hit ABBA show, Stevie was nominated for a WhatsOnStage Award for Best Professional Debut Performance. Each bonus show will see stars perform their rendition of either Run Away With Meor Say The Word, two beloved songs from The Mad Ones.
Bree Lowdermilk (Henry and Mudge; The Bad Years) and Kait Kerrigan’s (The Great Gatsby, London Coliseum 2025) hilarious and moving musical, The Mad Ones, traverses the complexities of mother-daughter dynamics and the universal experience of high school relationships.
Caught between a yearning for the unknown and feeling bound by expectation, 18-year-old Samantha Brown telescopes back to a time to relive her senior year. We meet the characters who were her life before her world fell apart – Sam’s well-intentioned helicopter mother, Bev, her high school sweetheart boyfriend, Adam, and her painfully alive best friend, Kelly, who haunts her. Full of huge, soaring songs and invigorating vocals, The Mad Onesblends the perfect mixture of humour and heartache, presenting the very best of a contemporary musical theatre show.
Lead Producer and Managing Director at Electric Press Productions, Samantha Creswick shares, The Mad Ones is a piece that speaks for itself and has had a thousand afterlives; it’s difficult to find someone in the industry who hasn’t been touched by it in some way. We’re so thrilled to be inviting these stage legends to showcase their unique take on these songs and revel in both the
nostalgia and possibility of this wonderful soundtrack, as we celebrate the legacy of this iconic staple of contemporary musical theatre with creatives who have been touched by it as much as we have.
