Sign Up for the Instructor in Circus Arts E-learning Program Offered by École Nationale de Cirque
Course Description:
École Nationale de Cirque in Montreal now offers an online version of the circus arts Instructor program in English or French (session available in both languages). The program takes place over a period of 17 weeks starting on October 25 (registration before September 25). It consists of mostly virtual sessions along with a week of onsite training with National Circus School teachers in Montreal.
Who is this program for?
The ideal candidate for this program is a highly motivated and autonomous student or professional who possesses mastery of the English or French language, spoken and written, and also meets the regular requirements for admission to the Instructor program :
- Completion of secondary school or equivalent
- Has interrupted studies for at least one school year or has completed one year of post-secondary schooling
- Practical experience in the fields of circus arts, sports, dance or theater would be an asset
What are the benefits of the course?
The goal of this program is to educate circus arts instructors. These instructors will be qualified to provide an initiation to various circus disciplines in the context of recreational activity. These instructors may also serve as educators in the social services arena, introducing at risk youth to the circus arts. Upon graduating from the program, instructors may further their professional development by enrolling in the Trainer in Circus Arts program to prepare professionals to teach future circus artists.
How much does it cost?
Tuition fee for international students is $ 2,225 ($ 1,395 for Canadian). Other fees apply for admission and registration, visit the National Circus School website for more information.
When does it start?
The next Fall session runs from October 7 to February 23 and is available in English and French. There are usually 2 sessions per language and per year (Fall and Spring or Summer).
