Performance Enrichment Program: Pre-University Training for Future Artists

The Performance Enrichment Program is for students entering grades 9-12/aged 14-17 curious about post-secondary education in live entertainment. Offering 4 distinct streams in Acting; Dance; Technologies; and Materials, participants will receive specialized instruction in their major of choice.

The Performance Enrichment Program is for students entering grades 9-12/aged 14-17 curious about post-secondary education in live entertainment. Offering 4 distinct streams in Acting; Dance; Technologies; and Materials, participants will receive specialized instruction in their major of choice, alongside a suite of elective courses providing a comprehensive pre-university experience. Participants finish this one-week pre-university program with a certificate of completion and a portfolio piece in their discipline.

With Performance at The Creative School at Toronto Metropolitan University as the host of the Performance Enrichment Program, participants will be introduced to the highest standard of arts education for exceptionally talented performers and practitioners who go on to become world-class artists, leaders and global citizens.

Performance Enrichment Program participants will immerse themselves in the fundamentals of craft in their chosen discipline (Acting, Dance, Technologies, or Materials). No previous experience is required; the Performance Enrichment Program is committed to gathering the next generation of artists with a desire and drive to improve their skill set.

The Enrichment Program offers university-level training across a choice of 4 performance disciplines:

ACTING

Explore theatrical performance, voice, movement, and self-tape preparation.

DANCE

Train in various styles, incorporating improvisation and choreographic techniques.

TECHNOLOGIES

Develop technical expertise in lighting, sound, and projection for live performance.

MATERIALS

Work with costumes, props, and scenic materials to create stage-ready designs.

Finish with a professional portfolio project and Certificate of Completion from Performance at The Creative School, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss.
