Menno van Dyke – Juggler and Artistic Director: “I really believe in the great diversity of circus” (StageLync Podcast Ep.19)

Menno van Dyke is an award-winning juggler and artistic director of Circusstad Festival Rotterdam, the leading festival for contemporary circus in the Netherlands.

Born in Amsterdam and trained at the circusschool in Paris, Menno has over 20 years experience performing in some of the finest circus and variety productions worldwide. With the original performance Juggling Tango, created together with his wife and dance partner Emilie Weisse, he’s won multiple awards at festivals in Paris, Moscow and Zhuhai as well as the Dutch national circus prize: the Oscar Carré Trophy. 

Since 2021 he’s taken up the artistic direction of Circusstad Festival Rotterdam where, next to curating the festival programme, he also initiates and directs performances, including the Circusstad Gala. Circusstad Festival has been presenting state of the art innovative circus theater since 2010, as well as actively stimulating and developing the Dutch circus scene.
