IATSE Head Electrician – New York, New York, USA

The Public Theater seeks a skilled and experienced IATSE Head Electrician to join our Production team. This position serves as the Production Electrician for all Public Theater performances across our multi-theater complex, ensuring the safe and effective implementation of lighting designs for productions and events. The Head Electrician will supervise all lighting operations during load-ins, load-outs, changeovers, and technical/preview rehearsals, and will occasionally run shows as required.

General Technician / Light Board Operator – New York, New York, USA

As a member of the run crew for a production, you are an important and integral part of the production team. It is crucial to the success of the rehearsal and performance process that you conscientiously fulfill your responsibilities.

This sheet is intended to help you understand your duties during the rehearsal and performance process—it is not comprehensive, and the Technical Director or Production Manager may assign additional tasks as needed.

The Light Board Operator is responsible for assisting the Lighting Designer in the recording and adjustment of lighting cues, as well as operating the light board on cue during technical rehearsals and performances.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Performs the Load-in of band equipment and rental equipment
• Set Up and break-down of band and event equipment
• Focus and lighting adjustments to artist or event specifications
• Spotlight Operations/Lighting Control Boards operation & programming
• Maintenance and repair of lighting equipment
• Assist with Production throughout the house as needed
• Accommodate artist/ event A/V requirements
• Responsible for safe and consistent operation of lighting
• Assist with the technical advance with Artists representatives
• Ensure proper care and handling of all HOBE and rental lighting & A/V equipment
• Interact with visiting production crews to ensure a successful show
• Distribute or create lighting plot plans
• Oversee and operate systems pertaining to lighting throughout the entire event
• Ensure Special Events lighting needs are scheduled and met
• Assist audio crew with stands, microphones, cables, etc.
• Assist with any Special Events operations

Lighting Engineer – Dallas, Texas, USA
