Early Notice–Montréal Complètement Cirque Call for Proposals

From July 5th until the 15th in 2018, the 9th edition of Montréal Complètement Cirque will be happening all around Montreal. Simultaneously, the 4th edition of the International Market of Contemporary Circus (MICC), will take place from July 9th to the 12th. The four-day gathering of professionals helps Canadian and international companies develop and conclude business relationships through the creation of an international network. In 2017, more than 305 professionals took part in the MICC. Montréal Complètement Cirque is announcing some call for proposals for circus artists and companies who would like to get involved.
Here are the details:
Call for Proposal for Tour de Piste
Company’s with tour ready shows may apply for the Tour de Piste. Requests will be reviewed by a panel of peers. The deadline to apply is May 15th with a response no later than May 25th, 2018.
Call for Proposal for Street Shows & Acts

During the festival and seminar, there are many street circus shows programmed for the public. For the 9th edition’s outdoor programming, Montréal Complètement Cirque is looking for companies and artists who wish to perform their work in a public space (street acts and shows). The selected creations will benefit from this international showcase.

The Festival gives participating artists a chance to pass the hat as part of its Place aux performances program. A symbolic talent fee and a chance to attend shows from the indoor programming are also offered (last minute and subject to availability). Proposals are due by March 31st and only chosen candidates will be contacted. Apply here.
