Kate is a well established UK based professional showcaller with 25+ years experience working in Corporate Events Production in the UK. She has called every type of event from small conferences to arena shows and loves the collaborative nature of working in events with amazing crews who always have your back!
Before corporate, Kate worked in Subsidised and West End theatre for 25 years and has called productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar Arena Tour, Les Mis and The Phantom of the Opera 25th Anniversary Concerts. Her recent work includes Ford Dealer Programme Imagination, Pharma meeting Jack Morton, Ashfield Pharma meetings and Opus Google meetings.

Session 1
Time: 10.30 – 13.00
- Roles & Responsibilities of a Showcaller
- Why showcallers often have a theatre background. Transferable skills.
- Working with screens, cameras and creating presets.
- Explanation of how all Technical Departments work and what they expect from you.
- How to deal with late and changing content delivery – almost everyshow
- Working with the Producer and issues of client management
- Discussion of approaches to the job and how best to fulfill it
Session 2
Time: 13.45 – 16.15
- Marking up a showbook using a script
- Practice calling a small show to give a taste of how it feels to actually do the job
