CIRCUS JOB AND AUDITION ALERT: Summer Camps are Still Hiring, Festival Open Calls and Race Horse Company Job

Summer Camps are still hiring. This week we had two posts looking for trapeze instructors in the US.

Driftwood Day Camp in New York is searching for fun, professional, outgoing Flying Trapeze (preferably with knowledge of aerials) and Gymnastics Instructors.

Camp Lindenmere in Pennsylvania is also looking for enthusiastic camp counselors to join their team of 20 staff members from all over the world. Lindenmere’s program consists of multiple disciplines, including aerial arts, flying trapeze, juggling, and gymnastics.

Charlotte Cirque & Dance Center, in Charlotte, NC is looking for Performing and Teaching Artists for their recreational summer camp. Pending on applicant’s level of expertise this could be a part-time or full-time position for 4 -10 weeks.

Two festivals announces their open call on the CircusTalk Job Board this week.  BuskerBus 2021, The International Festival of Street Arts is inviting 12 acts to their upcoming festival in Poland. Application to the 2nd Online Circus Festival is also open with an application deadline of April 2nd.

Finally, Race Horse Company, Finland’s  foremost contemporary circus company, is looking for a circus artist for a new contemporary circus production set to premiere in SPRING 2023! They are looking for “good team working skills and experience on stage required as well as strong solo performing and character, acrobatics skills + double salto on either trampoline, Russian bar, teeterboard or Russian swing.”
In the more than a decade of breaking boundaries Race Horse has produced several shows that continue to merge creative chaos with unparalleled attitude.  Currently the company tours with Super Sunday, street circus show Motosikai (2015), children’s circus show Chevalier (2019) and the most recent Sci-Fi inspired production O’DD (2020). In 2021 the company continues to grow as an establishment of Finnish contemporary circus with more multi-art collaborations, mentoring programs for young artists and several new productions in creation.
