Avant Première Music + Media Market Berlin

The global cultural media landscape is set to take center stage at Avant Première 2025, the world’s premier trade fair for cultural broadcasting and performing arts on screen. From 15–19 February 2025, industry leaders, content creators, and media professionals will converge at the Scandic Hotel Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, where the IMZ International Music + Media Centre will host an event defining the future of performing arts in audiovisual media.
With 600+ professionals from over 330 organizations across 40+ countries, including major players such as BBC, ARTE, Deutsche Grammophon, Unitel, EBU, The WNET Group, and NHK, Avant Première is the ultimate networking hub for industry professionals, offering exclusive screenings, high-profile discussions, and unparalleled opportunities for collaboration.
Attendees will have access to exclusive screenings of yet-to-be-released productions from more than 60 companies. The event showcases approximately 500 new works, including Market + Specials Screenings featuring full-length films and Q&A sessions with renowned creators and artists such as Peter Sellars, Anastasia Kobekina, and Markus Hinterhäuser.
Avant Première’s conference programwill tackle key issues shaping the cultural media industry, including the role of immersive technologies such as virtual reality, AI, and digital transformations in performing arts; the profound impact of music on mental and physical well-being; strategies to address the decline of cultural programming airtime on television; the importance of sustainability in media production and environmental responsibility in the arts; and innovative methods to attract younger audiences to classical music.
One of the standout panels, “Strengthening the Ties Between Performing Arts Institutions and Media,” will bring together directors of leading cultural institutions and senior broadcasting executives to discuss how media innovations can enhance accessibility, broaden reach, and engage new audiences worldwide.
Avant Première 2025 offers structured networking sessions, informal gatherings, and a dedicated matchmaking tool to foster collaborations and strengthen industry connections.
