Costume Designer | PhD Researcher -BELGIUM Marine Bourguignon holds a BA in Fashion Design from ENSAV La Cambre (Brussels, BE) and has worked as a costume designer for dance performances, cinema, and advertising. She later obtained an MA in Art History (ULB– Université libre de Bruxelles), with a thesis on textile techniques in Belgian theatre costume workshops. She is currently a PhD candidate at the ULB (CiASp – Centre de recherche en cinéma et arts du spectacle), under the supervision of Karel Vanhaesebrouck and Franziska Trapp, investigating costume-making processes in contemporary circus through an ethnographic lens, drawing on her experience as both a costume designer and a circus arts practitioner.
