Elizabeth Stich is an Assistant Professor of Dance at the University of Georgia specializing in contemporary and aerial dance. Elizabeth holds an MFA from the University of Utah, a certificate in Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis from Integrated Movement Studies, and is a graduate of the New England Center for Circus Arts. A versatile performer, she is equally at home on the concert dance stage and in less conventional settings—soaring over water in Sea World’s Cirque de la Mer, dodging BMX riders in All Wheel Sports Extreme, and suspended from Corona Arch at sunrise. Her choreography has been featured in numerous festivals and college dance programs across the US. Elizabeth's practice-based research has been published in the Journal of Dance Education and Theatre, Dance, and Performance Training and presented at dance and aerial arts conferences. Prior to joining UGA Dance, she was on faculty for five years at Utah Tech University where she directed the aerial dance program and developed a robust technique and performance curriculum.
