The mission of the Broadway Stage Management Symposium is to create a safe and welcoming space for stage managers to connect, share, learn, and inspire. Each year, our annual event brings together highly experienced Broadway stage management professionals for a two-day program offering practical insights, instruction, and inspiration for those interested in stage management.
Through a variety of panels, Broadway stage managers share their experience, techniques, career advice, and answer questions. These sessions explore important issues for stage managers at all levels, providing insights that come from decades of experience on Broadway.
This unique forum offers opportunities to engage with top professionals and network with fellow attendees, greatly expanding professional relationships and opportunities. Past attendees have come from across the U.S., Argentina, Bolivia, Canada, Mexico, and Australia, with some alumni going on to work on Broadway shows.
By sharing their knowledge, Broadway stage managers help the next generation, reveal proven strategies for success, and advance the profession. As company leaders, stage managers have a significant impact on shows and their participants. The Symposium helps stage managers develop tools for successful leadership and stewardship, positively affecting both their careers and the industry.
Join us for our annual event and the ongoing conversation year-round on our social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Tumblr) and the Symposium blog.
