Description:Job SummaryThe Digital Media Associate is a creative and technically skilled member of the Marketing & Communications team at The Phoenix Theatre Company. This position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing our digital presence through website management, video editing, digital signage, and media asset organization. The Digital Media Associate will also oversee and maintain digital equipment and recording tools to support marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong eye for detail and a passion for visual storytelling in support of a live theatre organization. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintain and update The Phoenix Theatre Company’s website (WordPress), including content updates, page creation, and light design work Edit short video content for social media, email, and digital advertisements, ensuring brand consistency and engagement Capture still photography and basic video during select internal events or for promotional needs Tape productions for archival purposes, ensuring footage is stored and cataloged properly Manage content on digital signage across the TPTC campus using Yodeck, including displays inside and outside the theatre Track and catalog internal photography and video equipment for marketing Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to develop and implement digital media assets for campaigns Organize and maintain the company’s digital media archives, including photographs, video footage, graphics, and documents Serve as the primary liaison for internal staff who need assistance locating archived digital materials Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental goals and theatre-wide initiatives Organizational Relationships Reports to the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications Collaborates with the Marketing & Communications team Methods of Accountability Frequent real-time feedback from the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications Performance Reviews conducted by the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications Timeliness and quality of delivered digital assets Accuracy and accessibility of digital archives and signage systems Patron and internal staff feedback Responsiveness to requests and adherence to production timelines Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience Proficiency in WordPress (basic HTML/CSS knowledge a plus) Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve) Experience managing digital signage platforms (Yodeck preferred) Familiarity with file organization systems and cloud-based storage (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, SharePoint) Comfortable operating photography and video equipment; basic photography/videography skills preferred Superior organizational and file management skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail, technical troubleshooting, and time management Physical/Mental Demands & Working Conditions General office, theatre, and occasional off-site settings, primarily weekdays Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Occasional evenings and weekends as required for capturing live events Must be able to lift and transport media equipment (up to 30 lbs.)
