Aerial Silks Choreography with Yasmin Montero ^expired Free

Aerialists of all levels are invited to join our Aerial Choreography Workshop which will explore dancing in the air, interpretive movement and how interactions on the Silks can be used to express emotions.

You will be guided through practical exercises including: group dynamics, contact exercises with objects and floor, contemporary dance, improvisation and flow on silks, exploring different ways to express yourself.

Discover movement theories from some of the great names of contemporary world dance that have influenced this artistic expression, helping us to understand more about ourselves, body and mind connection.

Create your own Individual Choreography, exploring the creative process, flow through music as well as practical application on Aerial Silks.

The workshop will be presented by Yasmin Montero who has over 8 years experience as an Aerialist. She likes to create her own routines and has been participating in showcases and teaching classes from children through to advanced adults. She studied in Brazil Physiotherapy, Dance (both bachelors) and Circus School.

Throughout her life in Brazil she has attended to many workshops and classes, related to body consciousness, improvisation, dance classes and how to apply those to the Aerial Arts, and now will pass on this knowledge to you.

The workshop is hosted by HAPY Studio, a Health, Aerial, Pilates Yoga Studio based in Currumbin, Gold Coast, QLD.
