Hi, I’m Saffron!
I’m an aerialist and multidisciplinary circus artist specializing in aerial fabric and rope, with a love for combining technical skill, emotional storytelling, and connection with the audience.
My aerial repertoire also includes Lyra, sling, hammock, and spiral, and I especially love exploring unique and invented apparatus. I created Aerial Rilks, a fusion of rope and silk, and perform an LED multi-hoop and sling act that combines multiple aerial forms.
I’ve also collaborated extensively with aerial theatre company Paper Doll Militia on invented apparatus, including solo, duo, and ensemble acts on the Aerial Nervous System in Homeostasis.
I love finding unexpected ways to fuse apparatus, movement, and storytelling. My ground disciplines include contortion, hand balancing, hula hoop, and foot archery.
I’m also the founder of Circus With Purpose, an annual retreat in Nicaragua that brings artists together to create, collaborate, and raise funds for local social circus programs, with original productions presented at Envision Festival in Costa Rica.
My work ranges from emotionally driven aerial theatre to playful, character-based performance. I love working as part of an ensemble and bringing a creative team’s vision to life, whether developing new work or stepping into an existing production, character, and choreographic language.
I’m passionate about continually refining my craft, adapting to new creative worlds, and creating performances that genuinely connect with audiences.
