LA GRAINERIE is a center for creation, dissemination and daily training for the artists, a factory and a resource space dedicated mainly to circus arts.

The circus is conceived as a crossed, demanding and popular art. Here is favored the diversity of aesthetics and forms, and crossing, meeting and opening are worked. Throughout their careers, artists will find adapted answers to their needs there.

The venue is conceived as a space of projects favoring the support and accompaniment of players in the circus sector, whether emerging or recognized. La Grainerie develops its activity in Balma, the agglomeration of Toulouse, the Occitanie region, the cross-border area, Europe and the world through its participation in several professional networks (Circostrada, FACE) and cooperation projects (Europe, Brazil...).
La Grainerie, like a mini-cluster, bets on the dynamics of proximity. It is in line with the social and solidarity economy. The fact of bringing together actors working in the same field encourages co-operation and the creation of artistic, economic and social added value.

La Grainerie has developed strong skills in the accompaniment of artists and professionals in the sector, for example through the Studio de Toulouse/PACT - Incubator for circus arts in Toulouse, a shared plan with the Lido circus school.

It has a building of 3500m2 offering a double training room for daily workout, 5 black boxes creation studios, 1 large rehearsal room, 1 theater (230 seats), offices and an outdoor space for big tops. Each year, over 400 users per year make use of his facilities and about 50 artistic companies are hosted in residency, as well as many corporate and private events. His team has 10 full-time equivalents members.

La Grainerie is part of many projects: arts education, cultural mediation, cross border and European cooperation projects.
