"Cirque du Cambodia" is a documentary about social circus and two young Cambodians, Sopha and Dina, who dream of being the first from their country to make it on stage with Cirque du Soleil.
They move around to world to Montreal, Canada in 2011 to try to achieve their ambitious goal, and this film documents them for seven years on their quest to make it on the biggest big top in the world.
The world premiere just recently took place at the United Nations Association Film Festival in October 2020 and we would like to start to raise more awareness about the film so we recently held a benefit screening here with Circus Talk as a partner.
