Job Description / Duties
Reporting to the Technical Director, the Stage Manager will be responsible for carrying out professional stage management work and training at Grenfell Theatre, Memorial University. This includes scheduling, coordinating, and supervising departmental theatre productions, including stage managing productions, supervising and mentoring student stage managers, and designing and delivering stage management curriculum to students in the Technical Theatre Production program. Duties include devising and delivering stage management curriculum to students in the Technical Theatre Production program; demonstrating professional stage management protocols and techniques; assisting in the coordination, scheduling, and organizing of productions within the program; coordinating departmental rehearsal schedules, daily changes, and production department meetings; maintaining the production prompt script and communication call board; overseeing backstage activities; and performing other related duties as required.
