Crossroads Live are seeking a Deputy Electrician (LX 2) for the UK and International touring production of The Bodyguard from April to September 2026.

Job Description

To assist the Chief Electrician as directed with regard to the operation and maintenance of all lighting and video equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Deputy Electrician will assist the Chief Electrician in operating the lighting and video equipment for each performance as instructed by the Lighting Designer/Video Designer/Production Electrician including all moving and generic lights and all effects and video.
To attend all get-in, fit-up and get-outs as required.
To assist in the setup and calibration of Zac Track systems in each venue, ensuring that cast are wearing trackers at the start of each performance and to ensure that trackers are returned and charged at the end of performances.
To attend and provide back-up cover for operating lighting and video equipment during the technical and dress rehearsals or at other times as requested by the Stage Manager.
To assist the Chief Electrician in preparing cue sheets and effects lists and provide this information to the Stage Manager.
To assist the Chief Electrician in ensuring all equipment is unpacked and prepared at each venue of the tour.
To run the get-out in each venue, supervising local crews and coordinating the get out of lighting and video equipment, preparing equipment ready for loading at the end of the run, and assist other departments until the completion of the get-out at each venue.
To assist the Chief Electrician in ensuring that all equipment is maintained and in safe working order.
To assist the Chief Electrician with lamp and projector checks prior to each performance.
Attend production meetings if requested and all rehearsals, calls and performances.
Adhere to the Health and Safety guidelines of the Company.
Any other duties as may be reasonably required in the course of your duties or as instructed by the Producers from time to time.
