Description:Maine Circus Arts is a circus day camp in Yarmouth, Maine serving students from 6-12 years old. Camp operates from 8am-3pm, 5 days a week, for 7 weeks, from 6/20/22 to 8/12/22. We teach introductory to intermediate circus disciplines to students with a broad range of skills and physical abilities. Students are enrolled in one week of camp at a time that culminates in a basic, charivari style, performance.We are seeking one to two moderately skilled circus arts instructors to teach ONE of the specific disciplines of: •Fabric •Lyra / Trapeze •Tumbling / Mini Trampoline / Hoop Diving •or Equilibristics. In addition to teaching your discipline, you will be asked to: •Help build basic performance skills in the students •Develop simple acts for more experienced or willing students •Oversee the safety and well-being of from one to over thirty students ages six to twelve •Perform first aid on injured students •Oversee lunch, snack, break, bathroom, and game times. We ask for candidates to: •Have at least one year experience teaching introductory circus arts to children •Be enthusiastic! •Have reliable transportation •Have a clean criminal record •Be able to legally work within the US Pay is hourly and will depend on experience and personal circumstances, but will vary from $17-$25 /hr If necessary, for anyone traveling, HOUSING CAN BE FACILITATED!
