2025 Variety Club Showbusiness Awards Winners Announced

On Sunday 19th October, The Variety Club Showbusiness Awards took place at The Londoner  Hotel, celebrating some of the greatest names in showbusiness across TV, film, music, theatre  and sport. Winners included Ant & Dec, Vanessa Williams and Leah Williamson. The awards  helped to raise funds for Variety, the Children’s Charity, while also celebrating 70 years of ITV,  the UK’s largest commercial broadcaster.

Hosted by Katie Piper and Mark Wright, the evening saw performances from Olly Murs,  Alexandra Burke, Sydnie Christmas, Amy Di Bartolomeo and Fayth Ifil. The event supported the  work of Variety, the Children’s Charity who raise millions of pounds for children with disabilities  and disadvantages across the United Kingdom.

Variety Club Silver Heart Awards celebrated outstanding contribution to their fields. Vernon Kay was awarded Outstanding Contribution to Radio, celebrating his enduring impact on British  broadcasting. The award was presented by trailblazing broadcaster June Sarpong and co founder of Select Model Management Tandy Anderson. Theatre producer Jamie Wilson received the award for Outstanding Contribution to Musical Theatre, presented by Gavin &  Staceywriter and actress Ruth Jones. Ant and Dec were awarded Outstanding Contribution to  Television, as one of the UK’s most successful and enduring entertainment acts. The awarded  was presented by fellow television host, Stephen Mulhern.

Olly Murs won Outstanding Contribution to Music, recognising his chart-topping career and  support for charitable causes. The award was presented by fellow entertainer and awards host Mark Wright, known for his work in TV and radio. Sir Lloyd Dorfman CVO CBE received the  prestigious Variety Club Silver Heart International Humanitarian Award 2025 for his global

philanthropic work. The award was presented by Dame Carolyn McCall, influential business  leader and CEO of ITV.

ITV received the award for Outstanding Contribution to British Broadcasting, recognising over  seven decades of iconic programming. It was presented by Ant & Dec, two of ITV’s most beloved  stars, whose own careers have been shaped by the broadcaster’s legacy of entertainment.  Adam Hills MBE was honoured for Outstanding Contribution to Comedy, celebrating his sharp  wit and work championing disability representation in entertainment. The award was presented  by Tushar Prabhu, respected Variety Club ambassador and supporter of inclusive arts.

Sir Stephen Fry was awarded Outstanding Contribution to Theatre and Film, honouring his  extraordinary career as an actor, writer and advocate for the arts. Vanessa Williams received  Outstanding Global Contribution to the Arts and Humanity, recognising her trailblazing  achievements in music, film and activism.

Leah Williamson OBE was honoured with Outstanding Contribution to Football and Sports,  showing her inspirational leadership of the Lionesses, leading them to their Euros 2025 win. Zoe  Aldcroft and The Red Roses received Outstanding Contribution to Rugby and Sport, following  this year’s Women’s Rugby World Cup win, celebrating their role in raising the profile of the  sport. The award was presented by author and restaurateur Jacob Kennedy.

Surprise Variety Club Silver Heart Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Entertainment and  the Spirit of Variety were given to the presenters of the evening, Mark Wright and Katie Piper. Both awards were presented by fellow award winner and performer Olly Murs.

Sydnie Christmas was awarded for Outstanding New ITV Talent, recognising her bright future as  a rising star in entertainment. Emmanuel Kelly received the Silver Heart Award for Artistic  Impact and Inclusion, honouring his powerful voice as an artist and advocate for disability  inclusion through music and storytelling.

Variety Club Gold Heart Legacy Awards were won by Petula Clark CBE for Outstanding  Contribution to Theatre and Entertainment, celebrating her extraordinary international career  spanning eight decades. The award was presented by Don Black, legendary Oscar-winning  lyricist. Lesley Joseph was awarded for her Outstanding Contribution to Theatre and Television,  recognising her iconic roles and vibrant presence in British entertainment. The award was  presented by Rob Rinder, acclaimed barrister and broadcaster.

Pip Burley was honoured with the Variety Club Gold Heart Legacy Award 2025 for Outstanding  Contribution to Television and Variety. The award was presented by Professor Jonathan Shalit

OBE. William Roache OBE & Barbara Knox MBE received the Variety Club Gold Heart Legacy  Award 2025 for Outstanding Contribution to Television, celebrating their iconic, decades-long  roles on British TV, this was presented by Kevin Lygo, the Managing Director of ITV Studios. Julia  Morley CBE was awarded for Outstanding Global Vision and Philanthropy, honouring her  leadership in charitable causes and international humanitarian work, presented by Katie Piper.

Further surprise presenters will be announced on the night. The Variety Club Showbusiness  Awards are produced for Variety, the Children’s Charity, by Green Room Ents Ltd.
