The Lead Carpenter will work with the Production Managers and production team during pre-production and specified event load-ins across the U.S. to install scenic elements of the event in accordance with design and construction requirements.

The Head Carpenter supervises the load-in, load-out, and operation of all technical aspects of the production. Operation Mincemeat will be a 4 truck tour with a same day load in.

A tech assistant will work under the technical director, stage supervisor and production manager in construction and installation of theatrical scenic and lighting and audio/visual elements for productions and rentals at Passage Theatre.

Deck Carpenter – New York, USA

Bespoke Theatricals is currently seeking a DECK CARPENTER to join the National Touring production of BACK TO THE FUTURE immediately.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead a local crew as part of the load in and load out of the production safely and on the timelines needed.
  • Being a team player to work with and alongside the rest of the touring and local crews.
  • Keeping up with the regular maintenance schedule for the production to ensure safe operation of all elements.
  • Maintaining truck packs, as per the Head Carpenter.
  • Supervise installation, operation, and disassembly of elements of the production in coordination with other department heads.
  • Other carpentry duties as assigned.
