This position coordinates the preparation, set-up, and operation of stage facilities including stage carpentry, rigging, lighting, and sound systems in a collegiate theater and a performing arts center; performs tasks before, during, and after events in support of the administrative needs of the Department; determines in advance of the show as to who and what the client needs are in order to produce the type of show they envision; translates, understands, and determines if stage plots, line set schedules, and hang plots work in the space; programs and operates audio and light consoles; orders parts and materials for the stage and surrounding areas; records parts and equipment needs for the stage as part of event records; conducts an annual inventory of all stage equipment (lighting, audio, video, instruments, expendables etc.) noting condition, safety, and serviceability; coordinates storage of supplies and equipment for events; and supervises assigned staff.

The Lead Production Manager oversees all technical and logistical aspects of multiple touring theater productions. This role ensures that each performance is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest artistic standards while managing budgets, schedules, and personnel across multiple titles.
This position will serve as a Production Manager (PM) on several tours per year and must have excellent communication skills. The Production Manager is responsible for realizing the vision of the creative team including the Executive Producer, Director, Choreographer, and Designers.The PM hires, manages, and oversees all production staff and production elements for assigned tours.The PM must maintain a high level of artistic integrity while meeting the budget and schedule requirements and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all artistic and production personnel.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Provide necessary pre-production and overall day of show support to the Production Manager, Back of House team, Venues, and to the Touring Personnel
• Responsible for various errands and/or task associated with the talent and the production of the show
• Assist with the day of show parking list, show credentials, and guest list
• Create day of show documents as needed (ie, meal tickets, sign in sheets, back of house signage)
• Manage on-site Runners
• Assist with petty cash distribution & reconciliation when needed
• Knowledge of the region to properly locate restaurants, stores, music stores, area attractions, services, etc for touring personnel
• Assist with artist/tour needs and requests,
• Ensure the backstage areas are clean and free of clutter
• Have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining pleasant and professional at all times.
