Loes van Schaijk worked as a music teacher at Codarts Circus Arts in Rotterdam, the Netherlands from 2011-2018 and conducted a 2-year study on the topic of music in contemporary circus. She presented her research findings at circus conferences in Australia and Prague. She is a musician in the bluegrass/folk group Red Herring and is currently based in Prague.
