Description:
Understanding the difference between managing your spine, engaging abdominal integrity and the ability to transfer forces amongst your limbs will significantly change how you approach training. This understanding is essential if one wants to achieve and sustain high level athletic ability.

This workshop will guide you through the discovery of the structural and functional nuances of this critical region. Approaches to training will be presented and a variety of exercises which nurture awareness, strength, and stability throughout your entire range of motion will be explored.

Workshop emphasis is on refining functional skills and training safely. And with a focus on intelligent training these workshops will benefit you in ways you did not expect.

Equipment (optional and recommended):
----pair of yoga blocks or equivalent upon which you can lie and/or use as a shim
---4' to 6' stick (broom, mop)
---yoga belt or equivalent adjustable strap ---resistance bands (not loops, resistance loops are usually not long or adjustable enough)
---floor space and wall for inverted support
---pair of sliders (towel or socks on wooden floor, cardboard or actual 'sliders' for carpet)
---weight: 10lbs? (filled water bottle/jug, kettle bell, actual weight)
