MACBETH – ATTO DI SANGUE Free |
What happens when ambition becomes destiny?
From June 18 to 21, 2026, audiences are invited to enter the dark and haunting world of Macbeth – Act of Blood, an immersive bilingual production by Casa Shakespeare, staged within the historic walls of Castelvecchio in Verona, Italy. Set against the atmospheric backdrop of a medieval fortress, this site-specific adaptation transforms Shakespeare's tragedy into a journey through power, desire, prophecy, and guilt. Moving through the performance space, spectators become witnesses to the rise and fall of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, a couple driven by an overwhelming hunger for power and consumed by the consequences of their choices. Performed in both English and Italian, the production combines Shakespeare's timeless language with immersive storytelling, creating a direct and engaging experience for international and local audiences alike. More than a retelling of a classic play, Macbeth – Act of Blood explores themes that remain urgently relevant today: political ambition, manipulation, moral compromise, and the human cost of unchecked desire.
