1-Week Theatre Directing Workshop ^expired Free

The One-Week Theatre Directing Workshop is one of the most intensive programs. In one short week, students are instructed in the basics of directing, composition and play analysis. The workshop is highly recommended to directors interested in learning about ensemble building, structuring the rehearsal process, to clarify and hone what they already know, to get exposed to the new techniques and methodologies, and ultimately, to network with practitioners from different countries and establish future creative partnerships with like-minded people.

The workshop is a full-time program, designed as an intensive lab with practical training, lectures and discussion forums.

Directors participate in all units of the workshop, including theatrical physical, speech and voice training, together with other participants, and work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural context. The program is highly practical, developing from simple to compound. Tradition, experience, eclecticism and innovation summarize the understanding of the theatre directing methodology.
