Program of Theatre Directing Diploma Course is developed to give you a professional and very special education, we emphasize only on the needs of directors. How to become a professional director, how to work with actors, with composers, with set designer, with costume designers, with choreographers, with producers and with theatre staff. ​​ This course aims to give students professional specific education, special view, knowledge and tools that artistic directors should have in contemporary performance making. ​ The course equips students with both the practical skills and the theoretical knowledge necessary to be a professional director and create one’s own performances. Movement Directing is one of the most valuable fields in contemporary performance making, the movement director works hand in hand with the theatre director. NIPAI Movement Directing Course aims to give our students practical skills needed to work professionally with performers in contemporary performance making. ​ Its program provides students with a broad insight view of movement directing within the performance making context, specifically focusing on practice within the discipline, ethics and aesthetics of movement, directing and teaching. This special educational program focuses on a specific movement directing approach towards the actor's body awareness, body language and development of a specific physical style. Intensive Courses

The One-Week Theatre Directing Workshop is one of the most intensive one-week program. In one short week, students are instructed in the basics of directing, composition and play analysis. The workshop is highly recommended to directors interested in learning about ensemble building, structuring the rehearsal process, to clarify and hone what they already know and to get exposed to new techniques and methodologies, and ultimately, to network with practitioners from different countries and establish future creative partnerships with like-minded people. ​ The workshop is a full-time program, designed as a lab with practical sessions, lectures and discussion forums. Directors participate in all sessions together with other participants and work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural context. The program is highly practical, developing from simple to compound. ​ The program includes intensive practical research of methodological directing approach, ensemble building, improvisation, work with actors, composition and classical approaches of K. Stanislavski, M. Chekhov, V. Meyerhold and other outstanding figures in the theatrical world. Post Graduate Studies

One-Year Theatre Directing Course The NIPAI's 1-Year Theatre Directing Program gives students the all-around directing experience necessary to make their own performances and shows. The year is divided into two semesters, depending on the start date. Students in the program receive over 500 hours of hands-on distant instruction and actual hands on experience. ​ The curriculum integrates intensive study in all the major directing disciplines, including classical approach to directing, physical theatre, rehearsal techniques, ensemble building, producing, composition, Stanislavskian Acting Methodology, Meyerhold and Biomechanics, Michael Chekhov. All students write, direct, perform and work in multidisciplinary context. ​ The program enables you to acquire an informed experience, knowledge and understanding of the work of the professional director with key collaborators such as actors, writers and designers. This program is for people who have the passion to plunge into theatre directing. ​ As in all NIPAI programs, the one-year course emphasizes hands-on learning. Theatre Directing classes are not theoretical explorations; they are practical workshops designed to put students in the director's chair as quickly as possible. ​ All students pursuing a certificate program at The New International Performing Arts Institute must be proficient in English and earn a bachelor's degree (at a minimum) or an acceptable equivalent.
