Xochitl Sosa is an Oakland based aerial performer and instructor. She is a graduate of the New England Center for Circus Arts’ (NECCA) Pro-Track Program, with a concentration in dance and duo trapeze. In addition to NECCA, she has trained in Montreal with renowned coaches from Cirque du Soleil and the National Circus School. Xochitl has created a unique style on dance trapeze making her a sought after teacher and performer.
Xochitl has worked intensively creating a versatile style, from her Latin inspired dance trapeze piece to finding a uniquely vulenerable voice performing with Acrobatic Conundrum a US contemporary circus company. Xochitl's newest project is a Duo Cerceau (Hoop) act with Caroline Wright. Their act caught the eye of the dance community and they were awarded an Isadora Duncan Award for Best Ensemble Performance of 2018. They are currently working with Cirque Du Soleil on their new show Varelia.
