My name is Christine Villafuerte. I am Ecuadorian-American and my specialty acts are Hula Hoops, Poi, & I am an accordion player and singer. I began my life as a street performer in 2009 (circus arts and accordion playing), and have been traveling and performing around South America for the past 11 years. In this time I have learnt many disciplines (and I always continue learning) and I have also had much experience communicating with crowds in different countries and from different cultures.
I attended various programs and have had various teachers, but some to note are the artistic formation by the foundation Circo Etno in Lima, Peru, the national circus school of Brazil, and the popular music school of avellaneda in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I enjoy being face to face with a crowd; be it on stage, at an event, or on the street.
I aim to continue finding new stages and new crowds around the world, and continue sharing my energy as an artist while learning from new people and new cultures. I am also interested in new proposals, act direction and creation, creating and working with groups, performing at festivals, and working as a social circus instructor or performer.
