Sarah Firus Parlby is a Vancouver-based Canadian circus artist, aerial pole performer, and dancer whose movement journey began at the age of four. With a strong foundation in dance and years of competitive training, Sarah brings musicality, flexibility, precision, and expressive storytelling to her work.
Her performance experience includes appearing at the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Vancouver Paralympics and representing Canada at the 2017 IDO World Championships in Germany as part of the Performance Team. After high school, Sarah pursued circus training, discovering a creative home where she could combine her love of movement, physical expression, and performance.
Specializing in aerial pole, Sarah explores the balance between strength, fluidity, dynamic tricks, and artistic expression. Drawing inspiration from music, character, and storytelling, she creates performances that blend technical skill with a distinctive movement style. Her work spans both ground-based dance and aerial performance, allowing her to move between disciplines with versatility and creativity.
With professional performance experience including contracts with Circus Osorio, Sarah continues to develop her artistry and explore new opportunities within the international circus community. For Sarah, movement is more than a physical skill—it is a language through which she connects with audiences, expresses herself, and tells stories beyond words.
