I am a dancer and musician at heart, these two arts have been my passion since I can remember. Being on stage and showing people how I can move or having a solo on my trumpet and pouring out my emotions through music, it always brings tears to peoples eyes. Most people try to master these two arts for money or to get into a good school, but to me they make up who I am. I love making up a new dance every time I hear a song. I also enjoy creating new music for different instruments that I can play. If you’re a dancer and you have no emotion with your movements then people can see that. But if you show them that it is who you are then they’ll notice you. Being out on the floor with a dance team competing with 60+ other teams around your state is amazing. The rush, the butterflies, the feeling that you can do anything. But most of all showing people how much you love the arts. Being on stage gives me a rush to where I feel like I can move my body in impossible ways. If we’re tossing a flag or rifle or Sabre and need to catch it I don’t even think twice and I’ll catch it in a backbend in one hand. On another note I have been obsessed with weapons such as: throwing knives, throwing axes, and spears. I will practice throwing them across my backyard at a target all day and night. I loved doing it as a kid with butter knives but as I grew older I collected knives meant for throwing. Now I can dance while using my weapons or play instruments while dancing. Also I have worked with makeup and costumes for haunted houses for many years and I’ve grown accustomed to putting makeup on other people and choosing their outfits. The things I do to people with makeup can make you scream and then laugh and then pee. I love being in the middle of a haunted house with either makeup or a molded mask, and just waiting for the group to show up next to me. One year I was the main role who was dragging the groups guide into the forest and they told me “make an animal noise” so instead of choosing one I chose all of them and scared the hell out of everyone in the groups and my higher ups. I can act, I can do makeup and costumes, I can dance and choreograph, and I can play several instruments.
