Nicole Malbeuf is a circus artist and instructor based in Ontario, Canada. She works in hair suspension, aerial arts and physical theatre. Her performance is recognized for her keen sense of musicality, use of colour, and her infusion of story and character. Nicole was recently featured on Canada’s Got Talent (2022), seen performing at the Canadian National Exhibition (2023) and in Cirque Dreams "Holidaze". As a freelance aerialist, she has performed across Canada, the US, Sweden and Ireland for companies like Cirque Revolution (Mississauga ON), Wonderbolt Circus (NFL) and Fidget Feet (IR). She has also collaborated with cutting edge contemporary circus companies such as Balancing on the Edge (Toronto), Hercinia Arts Collective (Toronto) and Femme du Feu Creations (Welland/Toronto). Her most recent solo production, A Hen Called Freedom, was funded by The Canada Council for the Arts and she has seen generous support and endorsement from Public Energy Performing Arts (Ontario). Nicole also regularly teaches hair suspension from a holistic/whole-body wellness lens through her introductory program and online platform of Trellis Arts (www.trellisarts.ca), and has delivered workshops across Canada, The US and Mexico.
