Nelson Lugo, (magician, former ringmaster, and burgeoning DJ) became a storyteller by never winning a Moth Story Slam. Created and produced “Gathering The Magic” an autobiographical solo storytelling show with magic that ran for 73 performances all across the United States and in Denmark. Also created and is currently producing another autobiographical solo storytelling show called “Cheating Death: Magic, Memoirs & Mortality” which premiered at the “Speak Up, Rise Up” storytelling festival. A frequent guest artist on many NYC storytelling stage shows, his stories can be heard on the Storycollider Podcast as well as RISK: The Podcast.
